Next Project

I think for our next project we should give up music for a week.
No radio, cds, or ipods.
Then everyday we should blog about how we feel and what we now do without music.

Idea's for next Project

For 1 whole week, go without any electronics (phones, Ipods, TV, games... etc). The only time you can use your computer is for school research, typing papers (and maybe for blogging.)

We can either use the internet to blog, or at the end of the week blog. We could blog about how we felt, what we did when we wanted to use an electronic, Overall experience.

My thoughts on laughingsquid

I didn't really like laughingsquid because they didn't really post about things I was interested in.
It just wasn't my type of blog.

I like tumblr :)

Laughing Squid

The Laughing Squid is a pretty cool blog. Personally, I don't think that I would read it too often because I am not particularly interested in the content. However, it was interesting, and sometimes funny. What I really liked about it is that is wasn't too "heavy", like some of the other blogs. A lot of the news these days is very depressing, but the Laughing Squid features mostly articles, videos, and links about technology and modern society. I think it's targeted at people who are interesting in whats going on in the world of an "average American". Normal people, and their everyday lives.

Laughing Squid

I think that the Laughing Squid blog is very interesting and has some cool pictures, but i think that it is not extremely needed. Well of course its nice for many people to read, but i feel like i have seen better blogs/websites very similar to this, but better in my opinion. Like stumbleupon.com, even though it's not exactly a blog, its point is to stream the internet of random things that you could find anywhere, which kind of reminds me of some of the photos and posts on Laughing Squid. So yeah man.

Laughing Squid

I thought laughing squid was a very random blog.
But what I got out of it was, the revolving door party...this is a good time.

My 2 favorite posts on the blog that I saw so far are

- This one is so cool! If anyone has ever seen the movie "Up," should watch this?
&
- When you first start watching the video it is confusing. At the end though it all makes sense. I though it was cool how they filmed it.
The things that are posted I don't really like a lot of them. But some of them really do stand out, and are really cool!

Laughing squid seems like a very organized blog. I like that the background is white, that way the attention is drawn to the content, and its easy to focus. In the link ^^ABOVE^^, it is an interview with the creators of Twitter. This was to mark the 5th anniversary of twitter. comments below.

The Evil Babies!

I went for what i thought would be a quick stroll in the park during my lunch break, not realizing what i ultimately would get myself into. I noticed two babies un-supervised sitting in their strollers off to the side of the path. I was going to call the police to report the babies, when i noticed a strange noise from one of them, or, what i thought was strange. It turned out they were speaking! These weren't 1 1/2 year old babies. They were maybe 6 months old, and i started to realize that they were having a conversation.
"So tonight, im going to distract her while you steal the milk!" one said. The other replied, "Why am i always the one who has to distract her!"
"Because your the youngest one; i don't get any sympathy from her anymore. AND this is te last time we need milk. Soon we will have enough to Sink the CITY!!!!! MWAAHAHA."
I just stood there for about an hour eavesdropping on their conversation, and at the same time pondering the possibility that i could be crazy. All of a sudden i heard one of them say "Watch out shes coming back!" I guess this was their mom, but i couldnt understand why a mother of two babies would leave them alone in a park for an hour. They left, so of course i left too, and realized i had skipped an hour over my work day. My boss was enraged when i got back, and i lost that job on that day. Because i was unemployed, i spent that whole night looking for jobs, and as a result of that ended up sleeping in till about 12:00. I woke up, rubbed my eyes, and looked out my apartment window. It seemed like a nice day so i decided to go for a jog. Just as i exited my apartment building thats when i saw it. Milk. Everywhere. Milk had covered the streets of Manhattan and it was racing towards me. I ran back inside, went up the elevator, back into my apartment, and watched out my window as the level of the milk started to rise. Higher, and higher, and higher. We were all doomed.

Japan

As all of you know, Japan recently experienced and earthquake, followed by a tsunami. The affects were massive: the earthquake sitting at 8.9 on the richter scale, and the tsunami causing most of the damage. Thousands have died and several nuclear reactors have stopped working, becoming so hot that a possible meltdown could occur; one of the reactors fuel rods have even been exposed, causing massive amounts of radiation around and on the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.
I think that kids in the United States that know about the tragedies that have occurred in Japan are appreciating where they live but at the same time feel very bad for the kids in Japan. Unfortunately, some kids don't even know whats going on in Japan. You can only hope that these kids will watch the news, or read about it online, because at the same time that it is a tragedy, breaking news is always educational, and i know i've learned more about Tsunami's and Nuclear Reactors because of Japan.

Japan

Recently in japan a terrible earthquake took place. It took affect on many people, damaging homes and ruining lives. Because of the tsunami that came along with the quake, the systems that cool the nuclear reactors are melting. The radio active waves that are coming off from it can cause cancers to develop in young people all over japan.

JAPAN. crazy stuff kids.

Recently an earthquake and tsunami struck Japan. 10's of 1000's of people have died, and even worse then the earthquake or tsunami , is the aftermath. Buildings, homes, and schools have been destroyed, if not damaged. Tons of people have lost family, friends, coworkers, etc.
One of the major issues Japan and some of the rest of Asia are now dealing with are the erupting rods in a nuclear power plant, 4 or more have already burst, letting tons of radioactive gas out into the atmosphere. People have been told to be careful and keep certain parts of their bodies covered at all times. Not only has the radioactive gas effected people now, but it may be effecting the future of Japan, it has been said the too much radiation exposure can cause deformities, and mental conditions in children that haven't even been born yet.
All that is left to do now, is give all the help you can, and pray for Japan.

Japan

The earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan has caused many deaths and injuries and has affected companies in Japan. On top of this, the damage to several nuclear reactors carries the risk of radiation poisoning to people who live near them and to even more people if there are meltdowns. This would be devastating to everyone in Japan. There is also some risk that the radiation could be carried by wind to other countries including possibly the United States west coast. The crisis will also affect the world's economy because Japan is the world's third largest economy after the US and China. We rely on Japan for things like cars and electronics (computers, iPads, cell phones...). There could be a shortage of these things that will affect kids.

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

the reason why i think that some one our age would be affected by japan is because some ones parents could be in japan and could have died and then they wouldn't see them ever again
at this point every one has heard about the tragedy in japan i mean it imposable to not here about it its every ware like no joke every ware. people are talking about how this is going to effect the economy all around the world and search and rescue and all that jazz. not to say that's not all really impotent, but no one is saying or possibly considering how it will affect the younger generation of Americans. because it will. for sure's its going to affect a lot of carp like. a lot of school a lot classes like social study are putting there topics on hold and really looking at the earth-quack and tsunami. there will also be a lot of like programs for teens to help out japan ya know like raising money. kids who were to young to under stand the extent of the last natural disaster will be able to see the kind of tragedy it brings.

Japan's Natural Disasters

I think Japan's crisis will certainly affect us now and in the future. During the earthquake and tsunami, many shops and stores have been shut down and destroyed causing major dents in Japan's economy. I think this also affects America and our generation. Automakers and other exporters have been shut down causing the supply and demand system to come undone. I think it will take a good amount of time for Japan and the Global Economy to recover fully and that this disaster will cause problems running into our generation when we are older.

Who did not post yet?

Come on now!

Charlie Shean

After watching the interview, i think that Charlie Shean has some obvious issues. But despite the media, i'm on his side! I think if continues to make an effort to work on his drug problem, he deserves a second chance!

Charlie Sheen..

You have to go to- http://FunnyOrDie.com/m/5cwg

For some reason this Charlie Sheen video made me laugh so much, he talks about his

recipe for "winning" and puts Charlie Sheen into his food. I think it's good that

he is at least aware of what he has been saying on interviews, but I still think that

he is a bit insane.

Charlie Sheen on 20/20

Charlie Sheen Interview

I had never heard about Charlie Sheen before, watching the video I thinks he is a little crazy.

Charlie Sheen was on the show Two and a Half Men, and he has spent a lot of time with that show. He got fired from the show on March 7th 2011. Now that his career life is over ( for Two and Half Men), it seems like he is trying to get attention. I think he has done good with his career and should just move on. He has a family and kids, i think he should just spend time with them since the show probably took a lot of his time.

One of the questions in the interview that I thought was interesting was, why do you think people love you so much? Charlie said because he is honest. I disagree I think it's because of his personality, he says funny and goofy stuff that a lot of people like to talk about, which makes him popular.

charlie sheen

so after watching this video, i am less convinced that charlie sheen is crazy. i think he defiantly needs therapy, he might not on eny drugs, (other then charlie sheen) but he has crap load of emotional baggage, and as for his huge ego, well i think half of it is realy but the other half is just fake, and covering up fear .

Charlie sheen

http://abcnews.go.com/2020/video/charlie-sheen-watch-2020-interview-abc-news-special-edition-13033821

this interview was good. i learned new things about Charlie Sheen. it was very funny and a little messed up.at the beginning of the interview he looks and sounds like he is on drugs half way through it they make him take a drug test and somehow he passed it.

CHAARLIE SHEEN!

Charlie Sheen is definitely the most interesting celebrity news right now. After watching his interview on ABC, i found myself laughing so hard that i didn't actually focus on the interview,
so instead i will talk about something else: while the drugs and the alcohol aspects of Charlie Sheens issues my be legitimate, do YOU think that what he says and how he acts and thinks is really him? Has he really gone crazy? You would think that his popularity would go DOWN, but it in fact went up when a RE-RUN of two and a half men was the most watched show on TV for that night. Is it all for publicity? YOU decide in the comments below.

BTW, im on Charlie Sheen right now (watch the video)
and Dying is for fools.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5aSa4tmVNM

i think that this interview was very interesting and very inappropriate for this reporter to just ask

Charlie sheen about his drug life. i dont think that anyone should be in any ons life like that. itt

was

a good interview but unnecessary i learned a lot that he can be selfish and how he didn't care about

the girl who he gave drugs to and she was thinking that she would O.D. on drugs. but

my focus on this would be why the reporter is getting in to his personal life

I think we should go with the hide and seek or uncomfortable chain idea. Go to guinnessworldrecords.com and see some records that we might be able to break :)
http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/Search/Details/Largest-collection-of-radios/60209.htm

i think this is very interesting that
M. Prakash (India) has 625 different types of radio that he has collected since the 1970’s. so that must have taken a long time to

world record

longest stationary Manuel is 49 seconds.http://www.guinessworldrecords.com/Search/Details/Longest-skateboard-stationary-manual/65754.htm

WORLD RECORDS!

I think that we should try to break an existing record. One record that seemed like fun, is largest human smiley face. The current record holds at 250 people. I think that if we get enough people from the community we could beat this! What do you guys think?

WORLD RECORDDD!

I think we should stick with our original plan for the longest uncomfortable chain.

I DON'T CARE IF MATTHEW SAYS NO!

world record

we can hula hoop, and possibly beat the world record. yayyyyy that is great, just like youuuuu.
